TorBox with Infuse: WebDAV Setup Guide (2026)
Infuse reads WebDAV directly, so TorBox needs no server and no mount. Add the share by hand, and keep a few settings off.
Last updated Reviewed November 2026
Infuse is a media player for Apple devices. It supports network shares including WebDAV, and it does not need a media server in between. TorBox publishes its WebDAV at a fixed address, so this is the shortest path from a TorBox account to a player on your TV.
- Share type
- WebDAV with HTTPS
- Address
- webdav.torbox.app
- Port
- 443
- Username
- Your TorBox email, or torbox
- Password
- Your password, or your API key
Setup
-
Have a file ready
Log in to TorBox and make sure at least one finished item is in your account. Test with something small and lawful, such as your own clip or a public domain film.
-
Add a share
In Infuse open Add Files (on Apple TV, the Shares area) and choose Add Share, then WebDAV. TorBox will not appear in local discovery, so you add it manually.
-
Enter the details
Select HTTPS, address
webdav.torbox.app, port 443, and a name such as “TorBox”. Enter one credential pair. The API key option keeps your account password off the device. -
Save and test
Save, open the share and browse. If login fails, check protocol, port and that your key is current.
-
Play your test file
Check it starts, seeks, and offers the audio and subtitle tracks you need before you build a bigger library around it.
Share settings to leave off
A guide based on TorBox’s documentation recommends leaving these four off for this share:
- Auto Scan
- Pre-Cache Details
- Pre-Cache Artwork
- Smart Folders
All of them read lots of files in the background. On a remote share that means many requests, and TorBox has API rate limits. You can still add favourites for the folders you use. Removing a favourite is only a navigation change, so do not use deleting a source to tidy the view.
Organising folders
TorBox offers a flatten option in the integrations area of your dashboard settings. It moves every file into the root, which makes browsing easier, but it also removes the folder context that helps you tell packs from single files. Pick your structure before you build favourites, because changing it later breaks them. Tags show up as top-level folders, so a tag such as “Linux ISOs” becomes its own folder.
Refresh and retention
The WebDAV listing refreshes every 15 minutes, with a manual refresh at https://webdav.torbox.app/refresh/. When a completed file does not show, check in this order: the TorBox dashboard, the refresh address, then Infuse. Re-adding the share does not necessarily refresh the listing.
WebDAV access does not extend how long TorBox keeps your files. TorBox’s help centre says downloads are kept at least 30 days, and the rule can change. AirLock protects chosen files within your plan’s quota, and you should still keep your own copy of anything you need.
Infuse features versus TorBox
Infuse’s playback formats and paid features are separate from your TorBox subscription. Resume positions are also not shared with other apps unless a supported integration connects them. If you move between players, expect to lose your place.
Pros
- No server to run
- Native app on Apple TV, iPhone, iPad and Mac
- Same address works for any WebDAV client
Cons
- Apple platforms only
- Needs manual share setup
- Listing delay of up to 15 minutes
On other platforms use Kodi or a server such as Jellyfin. The WebDAV page has the general details, including mounts for Windows, macOS and Linux.
Documentation
For Infuse screens see the Infuse Help Center, since menus change between versions. For anything about your account, TorBox’s support centre is the authority. We have not run Infuse for this guide, so the exact screens above follow TorBox’s WebDAV article and a third-party write-up.
Our take
If you own an Apple TV or an iPhone, this is the easiest TorBox playback setup that exists: no mount, no server. Keep scanning off, keep the key private, and see the plans to choose the storage you need.
Frequently asked questions
What do I enter in Infuse?
Add a WebDAV share with HTTPS, address webdav.torbox.app, port 443, and either your TorBox email and password, or the username torbox with your API key as the password.
Why does TorBox not appear under discovered shares?
It is a remote endpoint, not a device on your local network, so you add it manually.
Which Infuse settings should I turn off?
A third-party guide that cites TorBox's documentation recommends leaving Auto Scan, Pre-Cache Details, Pre-Cache Artwork and Smart Folders off for this share.
Do I need Infuse Pro?
Infuse sells its own subscription for extra features. It is separate from TorBox and not needed to browse a share. Check Infuse's own page for what is free.
A new file is missing. What now?
TorBox refreshes the WebDAV listing every 15 minutes. Check the dashboard first, then the refresh address, then Infuse. Re-adding the share does not force a refresh.
Can I delete from Infuse?
Avoid it. Deleting one file through WebDAV removes the whole item from TorBox.
